Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong netted his first goal for Al Kholood, converting a penalty late in the match against Al Hilal.
The 31-year-old defender calmly slotted the ball into the net from the spot in the 87th minute to reduce the deficit to 4-2.
Despite his efforts, Troost-Ekong’s goal was merely a consolation as Al Kholood, recently promoted to the Saudi Pro League, suffered a home defeat to the league leaders.
