Former BBNaija season nine contestant, Tunji ‘Tjay’ Adeniji-Soji, has shed light on the challenging decision to leave his pregnant wife at home while he participated in the popular reality show. Tjay, a 33-year-old medical doctor, shared the emotional journey he and his wife underwent during that time.
His wife recently gave birth to twin boys during his fourth week on the show, making the situation even more emotional. Reflecting on the experience, Tjay revealed that the decision was far from easy.
“It was tough for both of us,” Tjay explained. “Initially, I thought the show would take place after the delivery, but when the timing shifted, things got complicated.”
Despite her concerns, Tjay’s wife eventually supported his decision after several discussions. “She gave me the go-ahead, even though it wasn’t easy for her,” he said. “She preferred that I focus on my dream and assured me she would handle things on her end.”
During his time on the show, Tjay acknowledged the strong support system his wife received. He expressed his gratitude for the friends, family, and fans who stepped in to help her navigate the challenging period.
“She wasn’t left to fend for herself; she had a lot of help,” Tjay said, praising his wife’s resilience. “Our friends, family, and fans really showed up. I have immense respect for women like her who stand by their partners’ dreams. What my wife did was truly remarkable.”
