Tito Jackson, a member of the legendary Jackson family and older brother to Michael and Janet Jackson, has passed away at the age of 70. The news was confirmed by Entertainment Tonight, with longtime family friend Steve Manning revealing that Tito died on Sunday.
While the official cause of death has not yet been determined, Manning believes Tito suffered a heart attack while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma.
Tito, the third of the Jackson family’s 10 children, played a pivotal role in the rise of the Jackson 5, the iconic group that launched the family into stardom. He is survived by his three sons, Taj, Taryll, and TJ, who formed the R&B/pop group 3T, and his nine grandchildren.
