Simone Biles Launches Houston Restaurant After Olympic Wins

Simone Biles Expands Legacy with New Houston Restaurant Amidst Olympic Triumphs

Simone Biles, already a towering figure in the world of gymnastics with 11 Olympic medals and 30 World Championship titles, is making strides off the mat by venturing into the restaurant industry.

The celebrated athlete recently announced plans to launch a restaurant called Taste of Gold, in partnership with The Playmakers Group, an athlete hospitality agency. The eatery will be located at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in her hometown of Houston, Texas, and is set to open in early 2025.

Biles expressed her excitement for the new venture, stating, “I am a foodie at heart, and our hope with Taste of Gold is to offer a beautiful dining experience that features award-winning, signature menu items with some of my favorite flavors sprinkled in for our guests.”

Derek Missimo, managing partner at The Playmakers Group, highlighted Biles’ alignment with the company’s values and praised her for her leadership and achievements. The restaurant is expected to bring a special touch to the Houston airport dining scene.

Biles’ Stellar Olympic Journey

Simone Biles’ impact on gymnastics is unparalleled. In the 2024 Paris Olympics, she clinched four medals three golds in the team event, individual all-around, and vault, along with a silver in the floor exercise. These victories added to her legendary Olympic career, bringing her total medal count to 11, solidifying her status as the most decorated gymnast in the sport’s history.

Overcoming personal and athletic challenges, including the “twisties” that impacted her performance in the Tokyo 2021 Olympics, Biles’ return to form in Paris was nothing short of inspiring.

Beyond her recent Olympic success, Biles has consistently dominated the global stage. She first made waves at the 2013 Artistic Gymnastics Championships and went on to become the first woman to win three consecutive all-around world titles.

Her Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Games saw her claim four medals, including a gold in the individual all-around and team events. Biles’ athletic prowess, along with her determination and resilience, has made her one of the most celebrated athletes in history.

A Growing Fortune and Influence

Simone Biles has not only made history in sports but also amassed considerable wealth. With an estimated net worth of $6 million, much of her earnings come from endorsement deals with major brands like Hershey’s, Nike, and Kellogg’s.

However, she recently parted ways with Nike, citing dissatisfaction with their maternity policies, and joined Athleta, a company she feels aligns better with her values.

As Biles continues to make headlines both on and off the field, her future endeavors, including the opening of Taste of Gold, signal that her influence is only growing, showing the world that her talents extend far beyond the gymnastics arena.
