Senator Shehu Sani Calls for Higher Allowances for Female Corps Members
Senator Shehu Sani has voiced his opinion on the recent increase in allowances for members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Taking to his X account (formerly known as Twitter), the senator commended the government’s decision to raise the monthly allowance for Corps members to ₦77,000 but pointed out that the adjustment should have been more substantial for female Corps members.
In his post, Sani stated, “The increase in the allowance of the Youth Corpers to 77k is commendable. But those of the Female Corpers should have been jerked up to 100k since they suffer more.”
