Popular Nigerian skit maker and comedian, Sabinus, is reeling from the loss of his luxury wristwatch, valued at $11,000 (approximately N18 million), during a recent performance in Uganda.
Sabinus had traveled to Gulu city for his much-anticipated show when the unfortunate incident occurred. Despite the event’s success, the comedian was left distressed upon realizing his pricey wristwatch had disappeared.
Expressing his frustration on social media, Sabinus regretted not leaving the valuable item back in Nigeria before making the trip. In his post, he lamented:
“Omo na so I loss my wristwatch yeeeeeee 11k dollars gone. Shebi I for just forget am for Nigeria. Ahhbbh my body no scatter.”
Fans and social media users quickly flooded the comment section, offering a mix of sympathy and humor in response to the comedian’s plight.
One user, @iamsheila, quipped: “Sabinus go enter wahala for skit, still enter wahala for real life. Sorry sabi nwa.”
Another, @master_peace001, poked fun at Sabinus’ situation, referencing a recent debate about wristwatches and houses: “Daddy Freeze said wristwatch is better than house, now you don lost ham.”
