President Bola Tinubu has paid a heartfelt tribute to his elder cousin, Dr. Naheemdeen Ade Ekemode, who passed away at the age of 80. Reflecting on their shared childhood and Ekemode’s distinguished career, the President honored his cousin’s remarkable contributions to the medical field.
Dr. Ekemode, a prominent gynaecologist with over five decades of experience, received his medical training in Egypt. He was also a former chairman of the Lagos State Hospitals Management Board, where he played a pivotal role in advancing healthcare in the region.
In a statement, President Tinubu expressed the profound loss felt by their family, saying, “Your passing has left an unfillable void in the hearts of our family. The fond memories we shared, from childhood through the many years we spent together, will forever remain in my heart.”
