Rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is facing a new lawsuit from singer Dawn Richard, a former contestant on his MTV show Making the Band, accusing him of abuse and exploitation. Filed in the Southern District of New York, the suit claims Combs mistreated women, withheld Richard’s earnings, and was physically abusive.
Richard, a former member of Danity Kane and Diddy – Dirty Money, alleges she witnessed Combs abusing his ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura and endured mistreatment herself, including groping, assault, and false imprisonment. She claims Combs manipulated and exploited her, saying such treatment was necessary for career success.
Combs’ attorney, Erica Wolff, called the allegations “false” and stated Combs is “confidently standing on truth.”
The lawsuit adds to a series of recent sexual assault accusations against Combs, who denies the claims. Richard’s attorney praised her courage for filing under her own name, vowing to seek full justice.
