Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu Joins National Leaders at 64th Independence Thanksgiving Service
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, participated in a special Thanksgiving service on Sunday at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, marking Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary.
The ceremony saw notable attendance, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, along with other prominent Nigerian leaders.
The service included hymns, prayers, and messages delivered by religious leaders, calling for unity and peace across the nation.
Hon. Kalu, representing legislators from the Green Chamber, read the second Bible passage from Philippians 3:12-16, reflecting on perseverance and progress.
The Independence Day Service, also known as the Interdenominational Church Service, is held annually, bringing together Nigerians of all faiths to offer prayers for the country’s continued growth and stability.
