A hotline set up to support alleged victims in the Sean Diddy Combs scandal has been inundated with 12,000 calls within a single day, averaging approximately 500 calls per hour. Attorneys are actively encouraging individuals with information to come forward as part of a broader effort to address mounting allegations against the music mogul.
Currently, Combs faces over 120 accusations, including claims of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse dating back two decades. Disturbingly, the alleged victims range in age, with the youngest reported to be just nine years old. Sean Diddy, who remains in custody, is awaiting trial on these charges.
To manage the influx of information, attorney Tony Buzbee launched the hotline, inviting victims and witnesses to share their stories. “Once I announced we’d be pursuing these cases, we saw a wave of calls like nothing we expected,” Buzbee explained to Law & Crime. “The sheer volume has been staggering. Our challenge now is to meticulously review each call, identify genuine victims and witnesses, and gather crucial evidence.”
Since the hotline’s activation, it has received a total of 15,200 calls. While it’s unclear how many of these calls are legitimate claims versus false reports, Buzbee and his team of around 100 professionals are carefully examining each case. They expect to begin filing formal legal actions against Combs within the next 30 days.
Buzbee, a former Houston mayoral candidate, warned the public to brace for unsettling disclosures. “The names we plan to reveal, assuming our investigations validate the claims, will be shocking,” Buzbee stated at a recent press briefing. “I’m referring to those who stood by and allowed this behavior to continue, as well as those who encouraged and even participated in it. They know who they are.”
