Rapper and singer Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, better known as Cardi B, has welcomed her third child with her partner, Offset.
The Grammy Award-winning artist shared the news on Instagram on Thursday, revealing that she gave birth over the weekend. Cardi posted joyful photos from the hospital, showing her holding the newborn and a tender moment of her breastfeeding.
In her post, Cardi B called the baby “the prettiest lil thing” and included the date, September 7.
Cardi B and Offset, who already share two children, 6-year-old daughter Kulture and 2-year-old son Wave, celebrated the newest addition to their family. A touching image shows Kulture cradling her new baby sister while Offset lovingly holds the infant.
Although the couple hasn’t yet revealed the baby’s name, the birth has brought joy amid a challenging period in their relationship. Last month, Cardi announced her pregnancy on the same day she filed for divorce from Offset.
Cardi, 31, is seeking primary custody of their children, along with child support from Offset, 32, who is also known for his solo career and his work with the rap group Migos. The pair, who secretly married in 2017, continue to share special moments together despite the difficulties in their relationship.
