Daniel Regha Criticizes Gift of Rolls Royce to Bishop Oyedepo Amid Economic Hardship
Social commentator Daniel Regha has voiced his disapproval of gifting Bishop David Oyedepo a Rolls Royce, urging that the funds should have been redirected toward projects benefiting the masses during tough economic times.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Regha expressed discomfort with the extravagant gift, especially in light of the widespread struggles Nigerians are facing. He highlighted the current challenges of hunger and financial difficulties, even within church communities, and questioned the appropriateness of such luxury for religious leaders.
“The money used in gifting Bishop Oyedepo a Rolls Royce should’ve been channeled into projects that benefit the masses in this difficult time,” Regha wrote, noting that church leaders should live modestly in reflection of their teachings.
