Glen Johnson Claims Mudryk's Time at Chelsea May Be Up

Former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson has suggested that Mykhailo Mudryk’s stint at Stamford Bridge could be nearing its end. According to Johnson, the Ukrainian winger has not consistently delivered the performances expected of him since joining the club.

Speaking in an interview with Betfred, Johnson acknowledged that while Mudryk has shown moments of brilliance, those instances have been too rare.

“We’ve seen flashes of his talent, and at times, he’s looked unstoppable, but it’s not been frequent enough,” Johnson remarked.

The former England international believes that Mudryk’s inability to adapt to the Premier League may signal that his time at Chelsea is running out.

“If he was truly cut out for the Premier League, we would have seen more by now. Maybe his time is up,” Johnson said.

He further suggested that Chelsea’s board faces a tough decision, considering the substantial fee they paid for Mudryk.

“Chelsea invested heavily in him, so they’re either going to have to stick with him or accept a significant loss,” Johnson concluded.

Mudryk, who arrived at Chelsea with high expectations, has struggled to find consistency, leading to increasing doubts about his long-term future at the club.
